AART is a non-profit clinic, and we review our fees annually.

Nova Scotia’s provincial health insurance programs cover most initial assessments with a physician referral. There may be fees for initial assessments and/or follow-up appointments or any appointments where fertility treatments are discussed.

The Nova Scotia government has announced a Rebate for fertility treatments. Following this link for more information: Rebate for Fertility Treatments, Surrogacy-related Medical Expenses - Government of Nova Scotia, Canada .

If you are from another province that has coverage for fertility treatments, you will need to pay AART for treatment and separately apply to your provincial government for coverage.

All fees must be prepaid. The fee schedule is subject to change without notice. Please contact AART before your treatment cycle to verify the cost of your treatment. The fee schedule does not include the cost of medications. If treatment is cancelled, the fees for services rendered before cancellation as well as registration fees are non-refundable.

Payment may be made by Visa Credit, Visa Debit, and MasterCard, through our patient portal.

Please remember to save all of your receipts, as they may be deductible for income tax purposes.

Please note that these fees are only applicable to Canadian residents or people who are covered by one of the Provincial healthcare plans. Additional fees will apply to non-Canadian residents or people residing in Canada who are not covered under a Provincial healthcare plan.

Patients who choose to undergo satellite treatment cycles with other fertility clinics may be charged for blood tests and ultrasounds by their local clinic or hospital. These charges will be the patient’s responsibility and they will not be reimbursed by AART, nor will AART reduce its fees as a result. AART’s fee for satellite cycle treatment is a fixed fee per cycle.

Previous patients of AART who have not been seen within one year require a repeat initial assessment.
